Travel Agency Accounting Software — Without a Second Set of Books
How travel agencies should account for advances, installments, supplier cost, and profit. Why a dedicated travel agency accounting app beats a generic ledger.
A booking is a ledger line, not a note
Generic accounting apps ask you to post “sales”. A travel file is selling price, discount, supplier cost, cash or online received, remaining due, and — only after close — profit or loss. If those live in a separate workbook, the invoice will never match the till.
Zeybit posts the sale when the booking is created, posts each receipt to cash or bank, and holds profit until the case is completed. Active files show received, not profit. That is the difference between looking busy and knowing the month.
Cash and online must stay separate
Agencies collect in cash at the counter and online into a named bank. If the software does not ask which one, the bank reconciliation is fiction. On Zeybit every received amount is Cash or Online. Cash names the staff member. Online names the bank account. You can change Cash to Online later if it was entered wrong — the amount does not move; the type does.
Invoices, dues, and reminders
The invoice is the client-facing copy of the same numbers: total, received, remaining. Dues sit on the dashboard. Staff send the invoice or a reminder from the booking, with the PDF, via Gmail or WhatsApp. There is no second product for “accounts”.
What it costs
Zeybit’s accounting is the same desk as bookings. Three-day trial after approval. PKR 10,000 a month or PKR 100,000 a year. Bank transfer with proof — no card gateway to set up.
